Alyssa Gavulic Howk

Alyssa has a Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision from Liberty University. She received her MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and her BA in Psychology from St. Edward’s University. She also has advanced postgraduate training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and various neuroscience based trauma treatments including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also an American Board of Christian Sex Therapists (ABCST) Sex Therapy Associate and currently in the process of becoming a Certified Sex Therapist with a specialization in both sexual trauma/abuse and couple’s interventions. Alyssa has an extensive background working in these various evidence based integrative approaches with individuals, couples, families, active duty military, veteran, widow, and bereavement populations.

Alyssa engages her clients from a holistic perspective that strategically integrates several aspects of their life to help them move toward healing and wholeness. She specializes in resiliency, wellness, military unique stressors, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, marriage and family therapy, parenting techniques, and complicated bereavement counseling.

Jessica Iacovetta

Jessica has a passion for holistic healing with specialized training in Trauma Processing as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Perinatal Mental Health (pre-conception, pregnancy, and postpartum PHM-C). She desires to create a safe, non-judgmental, and encouraging environment to undue aloneness and walk alongside clients as they navigate difficult emotions, transitions and relationships.

Jessica is a military spouse and mom who enjoys working with children 8 and older, teenagers, adults, couples, and families as they step towards healing, wholeness, and peace. Jessica's areas of expertise include:

Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Preconception, Pregnancy and Postpartum, Couples and Family Counseling, Military Related Stressors, Emotional Disturbance, Life Transitions, "Mom Guilt," Codependency, Self-Esteem, Peer Relationships and Stress.

Dani Emory

Dani provides companionship and safety as she works alongside clients in their journey toward healing – a pursuit that takes courage and perseverance. From personal and professional experience, Dani understands the importance of not feeling alone. As she honors each person’s unique story, she gives her clients the experience of being seen, understood, and valued.

Dani appreciates the connection between internal (mind, body, emotions) and external (circumstances, history, goals) factors as a person works toward strength and wellness. She incorporates emotions, cognitive beliefs, and body-based interventions into the therapeutic process to meet clients exactly where they are.

Dani holds a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and is a certified clinical trauma specialist (CCTS-I). Her therapeutic approach is informed by IFS (Internal Family Systems), EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy). Dani enjoys working with adolescents and adults and has years of experience as a military spouse.

Annie Ferguson

Annie holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado. She is pursuing Florida licensure under the supervision of Dr. Alyssa Gavulic Howk. With advanced training in couple’s therapy (Emotionally Focused Couple’s Therapy), Annie helps couples work to undo feelings of aloneness, finding meaningful connection with each other through an increased awareness of their deeper longings, desires, and fears. She is a certified clinical trauma specialist (CCTS-I), making her able to take a holistic and caring approach with every individual client.

Annie’s professional trainings have equipped her to use evidenced based practices to bring hope and healing to clients ages 12+.  She has experience with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, trauma, relational betrayal, premarital counseling, sexual addictions, divorce recovery, and works with couples in crisis. Annie’s personal experience as a lifelong military dependent, and mother to four grown children give her a unique perspective into the challenges of complicated family dynamics. Her Christian faith informs how she thinks about pain, hope, and healing as she prioritizes empathy, compassion, and understanding for each of her clients.

Rockford Beegen

After 20 years in the Army, Rocky had a passion for helping others. He has experience as both a service member and is currently a military dependent with two grown children. He has a unique experience to assist Veterans and family members navigate the challenges of military life. Rocky is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who brings a unique blend of creativity, curiosity, and warmth to his counseling sessions. He is committed to fostering healing and growth and believes in the transformative power of a collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Rocky believes in meeting people where they are and developing a plan that fosters collaboration and mutual understanding. He enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and couples from all backgrounds to trace the problems of and develop a roadmap for addressing them in a holistic way. Together, building on a client's strengths and hone skills necessary for better self-understanding.

Rocky holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. He uses evidence-based holistic practices while working collaboratively with his clients on their healing journeys. He has basic training in Clinical Trauma Specialist -Individual,  Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy – Level 1,  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), along with other mindfulness-based approaches. 

Kelsey Hemstreet

BA, Mental Health Counselor Student Intern

Kelsey Hemstreet is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of West Florida. Kelsey is also a certified clinical trauma specialist (CCTS-I). 

Kelsey approaches counseling from a holistic, client-centered perspective, with a strong commitment to creating a supportive space where individuals can safely explore their experiences. With her personal background as a military spouse, she brings a familiarity with the unique challenges that military families often face, such as frequent transitions and identity shifts, though her practice remains broadly focused on serving a diverse range of individuals and needs.

While remaining open to learning a variety of evidence-based approaches, Kelsey has developed interests in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Her areas of emerging focus include trauma recovery, anxiety, emotional regulation, family dynamics, and life transitions. Kelsey is passionate about helping clients move toward greater self-understanding, healing, and wholeness.
